From the time Chaco was a puppy, his favorite hobbies are hiking and eating...with an emphasis on eating! Chaco enjoys the variety of hiking trails the Telluride region offers but has a few "quirks" for a Labrador Retriever. For one, he doesn't like to swim - he enjoys getting in the water but refuses to get his back wet and secondly, he doesn't retrieve - both traits Labs are known for.
Because Chaco has been coming to work every day since he was 8 weeks old and his Dad is in the hospitality business, Chaco is very discerning about pet friendly accommodations. His recommendations are based on some very important criteria - comfort of the bed (which is his resting spot of choice), proximity to the outdoors (to take care of business) and the cleanliness of the room (not all dogs appreciate a mess).
Chaco will keep you posted on those accommodations he endorses in the hopes his fellow canine's will enjoy them as well.

Telluride Lodge #536
The Telluride Lodge complex is the only property in Telluride set on a 5-acre spread! It is conveniently located for both summer and winter guests and is just a short walk to lift 7 for easy ski access and to Main Street for dining, shopping etc. There are also several picnic tables with BBQ grills throughout the property that are very popular with our summer guests. This particular condo at Telluride Lodge has had several recent upgrades, including the kitchen, living room and bathrooms. It now features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a jetted tub. This condo is perfect for families since it is so close to everything in town. Telluride Lodge is also a great location for groups of families and friends! We have several condos in the same building, so for guests that prefer to stay in condos rather than one of our private homes – this is ideal.

If you're looking for a "Room with a view", you've got to check out our Riverside Condominiums. I recommend Riverside unit #B203 because it has the best views in town. With high-lofted ceilings, community hot tub, and walking distance to the Gondola & Downtown, Riverside #B203 gives you everything you need for the perfect ski vacation. Riverside is located just 2 short blocks from the main Gondola and 2 short blocks from Downtown Telluride's restaurants, shops, bars, and more. Come enjoy the peaceful and prime location of Riverside and ski our amazing terrain!

Blue Mesa Lodge #2
Location, location, location! The Blue Mesa Lodge and Condos are conveniently located right in the Mountain Village core - just steps from restaurants, shops, skiing and ski school. The condo has a full kitchen and cozy living room with a gas fireplace, all you need for a wonderful evening of cooking together and relaxing after skiing. If you prefer to dine out instead - feel free to try any of the world-class restaurants just steps away. I would recommend this condo for a family vacation or for a small group of friends.

The Plunge condos, built among the cottonwood trees along the Cornet Creek, are modest, comfortable, and convenient to skiing and downtown Telluride. My favorite is Unit “B” because of the homey, happy feel it has. You can tell that it was meant to be used for family ski vacations and summer breaks, with its group photos in the stairwell and simple cottage décor. With the townhouse layout, there are no other parties above or below you. The kids can go to bed downstairs and be undisturbed by the adults taking up a game of bridge in the living room. The master bedroom on the top floor, with its private jacuzzi tub typical of the early ‘90s, views of Ajax Peak to the east and skylights above, creates a setting that you won’t confuse with your work-a-day abode; you’re bound to take home sweet memories of your Telluride stay.
The coolest thing in the condo is the stained glass piece between the living room and the top of the stairs – a charmed Wizard, eyes glinting with playful intent. And the best kitsch is the ship’s wheel headboard in the master bedroom, playing on the nautical theme: sail away with me.

The Lorian complex sits in the perfect location slightly outside the Mountain Village Core. Far enough out of the core that it feels like you are in a secluded cabin high in the woods, but close enough to be skiing or on the gondola in just a quick walk. I chose this condo because it has everything wrapped into one, perfect for large families who like to entertain and relax. The great room is very open and inviting with an open fireplace that is visible from the dining room and living room. The dining table comfortably seats 10 which is ideal for holiday dinners and catching up with family. Downstairs is the 8 person private indoor hot tub. The hot tub sits right inside from the deck and with the wall of windows it feels like you are one with nature. The icing on the cake is the master bathroom with a very large and deep jetted tub. Sipping a glass of wine and relaxing in the tub, what a perfect ending to a day filled with skiing.

The Mountainside Inn is the perfect location for the budget-conscious traveler who wants to be close to everything in Telluride. This hotel is just 200 yards to lift 7 for easy ski access and it is located right along the San Miguel river and river trail for a beautiful summer walk. At a short 10-15 minute walk to historic downtown Telluride, the Mountainside Inn is one of our most popular hotels. The complex also has pet-friendly rooms – something I appreciate since I love to travel and see new places and at this hotel I’m always welcome! Another great thing about this property is that all rooms have brand new mattresses and bedding - super-comfortable!
This room at the Mountainside Inn has a split king bed (can be a king or 2 twins) and a kitchenette. There are also regular hotel rooms as well as 1 bedroom condos – so there are lots of choices here for the guest who wants to be close to everything and have more money left to enjoy some of Telluride’s many outdoor activities or fabulous dining.
