Chaco
Chaco is a handsome yellow lab who is now 10 years old and is lucky enough to come to work every day.

From the time Chaco was a puppy, his favorite hobbies are hiking and eating...with an emphasis on eating!  Chaco enjoys the variety of hiking trails the Telluride region offers but has a few "quirks" for a Labrador Retriever.  For one, he doesn't like to swim - he enjoys getting in the water but refuses to get his back wet and secondly, he doesn't retrieve - both traits Labs are known for.

Because Chaco has been coming to work every day since he was 8 weeks old and his Dad is in the hospitality business, Chaco is very discerning about pet friendly accommodations.  His recommendations are based on some very important criteria - comfort of the bed (which is his resting spot of choice), proximity to the outdoors (to take care of business) and the cleanliness of the room (not all dogs appreciate a mess).

Chaco will keep you posted on those accommodations he endorses in the hopes his fellow canine's will enjoy them as well.

Mountainside Inn #314
The Mountainside Inn is the perfect location for the budget-conscious traveler who wants to be close to everything in Telluride. This hotel is just 200 yards to lift 7 for easy ski access and it is located right along the San Miguel river and river trail for a beautiful summer walk. At a short 10-15 minute walk to historic downtown Telluride, the Mountainside Inn is one of our most popular hotels. The complex also has pet-friendly rooms – something I appreciate since I love to travel and see new places and at this hotel I’m always welcome! Another great thing about this property is that all rooms have brand new mattresses and bedding - super-comfortable!

This room at the Mountainside Inn has a split king bed (can be a king or 2 twins) and a kitchenette. There are also regular hotel rooms as well as 1 bedroom condos – so there are lots of choices here for the guest who wants to be close to everything and have more money left to enjoy some of Telluride’s many outdoor activities or fabulous dining.

Telluride Lodge #536
The Telluride Lodge complex is the only property in Telluride set on a 5-acre spread! It is conveniently located for both summer and winter guests and is just a short walk to lift 7 for easy ski access and to Main Street for dining, shopping etc. There are also several picnic tables with BBQ grills throughout the property that are very popular with our summer guests. This particular condo at Telluride Lodge has had several recent upgrades, including the kitchen, living room and bathrooms. It now features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a jetted tub. This condo is perfect for families since it is so close to everything in town. Telluride Lodge is also a great location for groups of families and friends! We have several condos in the same building, so for guests that prefer to stay in condos rather than one of our private homes – this is ideal.

Hart.jpg
Hart Roberts
Hart Roberts grew up on the east coast in Raleigh, North Carolina. After graduating from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC with a Business Management and Marketing degree, Hart ventured out west. He came out to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, fell in love, and never left. He has been with the company since June 2007. In the winter, Hart enjoys skiing the deeps – Black Iron Bowl, Palmyra Peak, and Captain Jack’s are among his favorite powder stashes. In the summer, Hart spends his time fly fishing local rivers, playing golf at the Telluride Golf Club, camping at Alta Lakes, and avidly blogging about the Summer festival scene and numerous live music performances.

Pacific Street Townhomes
These colorful 3-level townhomes located between W. Pacific and Depot Avenue are real gems in our Telluride lodging inventory. They are each 3BR/3.5BA homes with updated furnishings and appliances and with a private home feel. You also have excellent views from the deck or patio. The location is great for both winter and summer guests - only 2 blocks short walk to Main Street and the gondola station - and lift 8 for skiing. From the "B" homes you can also look directly at the gondola and people coming down the slopes towards town.
These gorgeous homes are perfect for a family stay - or get-together with friends!

Liza.jpg
Liza Tanguay
Liza first came to Telluride during Bluegrass (by accident) and months later moved from a large western city, forsaking engineering in pursuit of full-time ski-bum living, running rivers on the side. The original plan was to take 4-6 years off, but the lifestyle fit well. Now 16 years later, she’s still skiing the steeps & corduroy (not so much the bumps) and hiking desert & mountain trails with her husband & 5-year-old Ruby. With 4 years in ski rentals and sales, and 10 years in the hotel & lodging business, she’s a solid resource for Telluride Vacation Planning.

Ghostriders
If we're talking summer, then we're talking Ghostriders top-floor condos. Since the complex is located right on the San Miguel River, just 2 blocks down Pine Street from the main drag, it's surrounded by the best of Telluride sans neige. And the Ghostrider condos #10, #11, and #12 have the most coveted decks of all: roof top with 360-degree views of the magnificent Box Canyon.

Ghostriders #10 & #11 have Ajax Peak and Ingram Falls framed in their livingroom windows, so even if it's not the best weather, you can soak in the views across the roof tops. The 3-bedroom Condo #11 has some beautiful new touches, too, with leather sofa, large HDTV, custom-tile counters, a private sauna, and even a telescope to study the distant mining days' remnants in the high alpine basins at the end of the valley.

I picked Ghostriders #11 for my own family's stay last summer, and everyone was pleased - the shoppers, the kids, the hikers, the fine-diners and the riders. We even told ghost stories under the stars .... about those ol' ghostriders of the open range.
