The high mountain pass connecting the towns of Ouray and Telluride is now open for your jeeping, 4X4, hiking, running pleasure! This is a MUST DO while visiting Telluride. Starting at 8,500 ft. above sea level, you climb the mountain pass as you observe old abandoned mining camps, ghost towns, and Fort Peabody. At the top you reach an altitude of 13,114 ft. above sea level with some of the prettiest views you'll ever see.
