Rumors, Not “O-Phish-ial”… yet.

Promoters are trying hard to bring back one of the most followed bands currently touring, Phish. Phish is an American rock band noted for its musical talent, extended jams, and extremely devoted fan base. Rumors started flying last week over the internet, Facebook, and Twitter that the reunited jam band is looking to visit Telluride’s Town Park on August 9-10, 2010. This is only possible if all parties can meet and agree to the terms and conditions. "We and AEG would like to invite the band to town, if we can," said Craig Ferguson, president of Lyons-based Planet Bluegrass and director of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Meetings are set for March 3rd - if the event is approved by all parties, the concert proposal will go to the Telluride Town Council on March 9th. “The sooner, the better” – officials want it approved before the band’s official summer schedule is released… "By the time we would be able to invite them, it might be too late because they can't hold their entire summer schedule up," Ferguson said. For now, we will sit back and wait for the final word from Town Council - but some very excited “Phans” might be Phishing in Telluride, Colorado this summer…
