Post-Phish Telluride, Colorado

The Telluride Phish shows we're amazing... for many reasons other than the music. The whole town vibe was something I've never experienced. Yes, it resembled a "Bluegrass Festival" vibe, stuck in the Monsoon season of August... but it was a lot different. A lot different...

Most of the fans who traveled to the shows had barely even heard about our little ski resort town nestled in the Southwest corner of Colorado... which made the entire ambiance just that much better. While the shows didn't start till around 7:30pm each night, Phish fans were able to hike, bike, cruise around town in a very casual environment and really take in the beauty of Telluride. Everyone I met, was the nicest person I had ever met and we're extremely humble to be "accepted" to this exclusive event. The skies parted after 2 weeks of solid rain and held up for a total of 48 hours for the nighttime shows - It definitely would have been a different scene with the hard monsoon rains we'd seen just days before 10,000+ people came into town. I've heard from "experienced" Phish followers that the musical talent was just not there during the two night shows... but it didn't matter. The alpenglow, 13,000 foot peaks, beautiful sunsets, and crisp mountain air meant more to these fans than the music. "Phans" left with a greater appreciation than just music, they left with an unforgettable experience that might never happen again. We thank all the Phish fans for the wonderful time here in Telluride and hope to have you back here again soon! Telluride's challenging ski slope is what I like most. The gioldng options as well as the restaurants are great. Just don't go during holiday season that if you want to avoid crowd.karie@ski trip recently posted..

so specifically, but it's also lilkey that you'll be asked to show ID at the gate to prove you own the tickets you're holding.Make sure you read the fine print on either VANOC's site, or CoSport's site before you get your friend to do any ordering, and you can always call VANOC's call centre to ensure you have the answers to the questions you might have, before you or your friend orders.
