Melvin Seals & Second to None - Thursday, March 11th - Phenomenal blues, funk and electric artist Melvin Seals, with his accompanying band will grace his presence here in Telluride. Melvin is best known for his long friendship and musical partnership with cultural icon and guitarist Jerry Garcia and the smile of his that lights up the room. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become "Jam Band Music". Richie Havens - Saturday, March 13th - Gifted with one of the most recognizable voices in popular music, Richie Havens has a soulful singing style that remains as unique and ageless as when he first emerged from the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1960's. It's a voice that has inspired and electrified audiences from the Woodstock Music & Arts Fair in 1969, to the Clinton Presidential Inauguration in 1993 - coming full circle with the 30th Woodstock Anniversary celebration, "A Day In The Garden", in 1999. Dinner & Show with Andy Lo Russo: The Singing Chef - Friday, March 19th - Join us for an evening of Italian food and wine, a sit down dinner and 90-minute show at the historic Sheridan Opera House. The Melodians - Wednesday, March 31st - The Melodians are on of Jamaica's greatest Rocksteady groups, cutting a series or classic singles during the late 60's and early 70's that included the internationally famed "Rivers of Babylon" and "Sweet Sensation". In 1966, when driving rhythms of ska were abandoned in favor of the slower, more soulful Rocksteady, Jamaican performers discovered a freedom of expression they had previously been denied. In overcoming the limitations of ska, the dawn of the Rocksteady age begun. A few groups rose to notoriety with non more popular that The Melodians.
