Here is a whole bucket list of amazing stuff going down in Telluride, Colorado over Christmas and New Years. With a HUGE storm in the works, there are so many reasons to be right HERE with your friends and family for the holidays. 1. Thursday, December 23rd - Warren Miller Ski Film - Warren Miller's 61st annual ski film, Wintervention, will be on the big screen (in HD) at the historic Sheridan Opera House. There will be two showings (because it's that good...) on Thursday the 23rd at 6pm and 9pm, $15 per ticket. Local gear shops, Jagged Edge and Boot Doctors, will be giving away fun s.w.a.g. and door prizes. Come one, come all! 

2. Friday, December 24th - Santa Ski & Photos - Look for Santa skiing on the slopes all Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. After 3pm, find him at Gorrono Ranch for a photo with the entire family. Catch him if you can! 

3. Sunday, December 26th - Mountainfilm's Winter Fundraiser - The Mountainfilm Festival will host its annual winter fundraiser at the Sheridan Opera House hosted by Author, Adventurer, Photographer, Wade Davis. Anyone wishing to support Mountainfilm's mission of educating and inspiring audiences about issues that matter, are invited to this wonderful holiday event from 6pm-10pm. Bid on a pair of Wagner skis, Osprey & JanSport packs, First Ascent jackets, kayak trips, and lots more!

4. Monday, December 27th - Acoustic Evening with Shawn Colvin & John Oates - The Sheridan Arts Foundation kicks off the Holiday Concert Series with award winning artists, Shawn Colvin and John Oates. These two artists will play a set of their own original songs, as well as a set together. Show starts at 8pm, GA tickets $30. 

5. Monday and Tuesday, December 27th & 28th - The Flying Karamazov Brothers - The Palm Theatre presents a unique blend of music, comedy, dance, theater, and juggling that is sure to dazzle young and old alike, The Flying Karamazov Brothers are at the apex of their ambidextrous and alliterative ability. Come watch the Flying K's as they prove with each performance that chaos and unexpected events in our lives are the best part of being human. Show starts at 7pm nightly. 

6. Wednesday, December 29th - Satisfaction - A Tribute to the Rolling Stones - The Sheridan Holiday Concert series continues with the internationally acclaimed Rollings Stones Tribute Band, SATISFACTION, at 8pm (GA $20). This Billboard & Pollstar listed show is claimed as the world's greatest show honoring the Rolling Stones and their legacy. 

7. Thursday, December 30th - Matchstick Productions presents 'The Way I See It' - An award winning ski film featuring local, Gus Kenworthy, will be showing at the Palm Theatre at 7pm and 9pm. A joint fundraiser for the Palm and the Telluride Ski and Snowboard club, this event will offer a great silent auction to help support our local community.

8. Thursday, December 30th - Solo Acoustic Performance by Citizen Cope - Thursday night of the Sheridan Opera House Holiday Concert Series presents Clarence Greenwood, a.k.a. Citizen Cope. Touring with his most recent album, The Rainwater LP, Cope is more full of classic rock, jazz, hip hop, and gogo than ever before. Show starts at 8pm and GA tickets are $30. 

9. Friday, December 31st, New Year's Eve - Torchlight Parade, Fireworks, Chubby Checker and more! - LOTS going on over New Year's Eve in Telluride! First, ring in 2011 by watching torchlight parades (begin around 6:30pm) that descend from the ski area into both Telluride and Mountain Village. Fireworks will proceed the torchlight parade in Mountain Village or gather by the courthouse's clock tower in Telluride to celebrate the great year of 2010 and many more memories to come in 2011. After the "Ball drops", head over to the Sheridan Opera House for the New Year's Eve Gala party with Chubby Checkers and the Wild Cats! Twist the night away with the best rock and roll party of the new year. The Sheridan Bar, Last Dollar Saloon, Fly Me to the Moon, and other bars will surely be a great time as well to party down with friends on New Year's Eve. 

10. Sunday, January 2nd - Reggae Legends, The Mighty Diamonds - Join the Sheridan Opera House for their last night of the Holiday Concert Series with Reggae Legends, The Might Diamonds. With their soulful harmonies and polished performances, The Mighty Diamonds quickly became famous for their Motown sound and moves. Come party down with Tabby, Bunny, and Judge, who have been producing albums for the past 40 years.
