Lace Up Your Skates!

Ice skating is a great family activity and alternative to the slopes. With four options between Telluride and Mountain Village, there’s no shortage of fun for the entire family! 

Where to Go:

  • Madeline Hotel and Residences - Located in the heart of Mountain Village center, this outdoor ice rink offers open skating daily. Hockey and figure skates can be rented onsite at the Madeline Hotel and Residences. Punch cards and season passes are available. 

  • Village Pond - Located in the Conference Center Plaza in Mountain Village, this pond, which is unsupervised, is open to the public during daylight hours. It is free to skate on this pond. 

  • Hanley Ice Rink - This ice rink is a fully-enclosed refrigerated NHL size hockey rink located in Town Park. It is home to the Telluride hockey league and travel team, but public skate is available throughout the week. Please click here for a full schedule. 

  • Town Park Outdoor Ice Rink - Telluride’s Town Park is home to an outdoor ice rink located at the volleyball courts. The rink is typically open from mid-December to mid-February with private rentals available at the nearby warming hut for parties or small gatherings.
