Enter this classic Telluride residence from Spruce Street, through the white picket fence gate and the burgundy door. The entry mud room provides hooks for your coats and space for your shoes and boots. The mud room leads to the entry hall with a coat closet and the location of three of the four bedrooms. On your right is the junior master suite, with a queen bed, a flat screen TV, a private deck with seating for two, and an en suite bath featuring a claw-foot tub with shower. Back into the entry hallway leads to the second and third bedrooms, both furnished with king beds, large closets, and flat screen TVs. These two large bedrooms share a hallway bathroom with a stand-up shower.


Back in the hallway you will find the laundry room and the back door that leads to the two off-street parking spaces that are accessed from the adjoining alley. Heading back toward the front leads to the staircase and the top floor.


On the right at the top of the steps is the considerable Master Suite, featuring a king bed, a large flat screen TV, comfortable chairs and access to the primary deck that enjoys eye-popping views of Ajax Peak and the Telluride Box Canyon. The en suite bath features double vanity sinks and a roomy stand-up shower with two shower heads.


Outside the Master are the home's living spaces, laid out openly under vaulted ceilings from the front of the home to the back. Above Spruce Street is the dining room with seating for seven plus two stools at the kitchen bar. The kitchen provides ample counter space and storage and is equipped with everything you will need to enjoy fine meals at home. The Great Room is a light-filled space behind two-story windows that are filled with mountain views. There is an entertainment system with a large TV in front of two large, soft couches. The living space is further expanded onto the adjoining deck with abundant seating, a gas grill and a fire pit that can be enjoyed under the star-filled Colorado sky. *Note the fireplace is not operational at this time.


The home is one-half-block off Main Street above the Spruce Street Park, home to the locals’ favorite farmers’ market on Saturdays in the summer, and The Butcher & The Baker restaurant, source of the best breakfast burrito in town and many other scrumptious selections. The home is equipped with wireless Internet and can accommodate up to three cars parked on the premises (one spot covered).

Beautiful home in the perfect location

Just arrived home from a five night stay at the perfect Telluride vacation home! The four adult couples had room to roam… and then some. Three King beds were a real plus. The home was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and flowed exceptionally well. The kitchen had every single item you would ever need to cook your own great meal. The spacious, beautifully furnished deck was home to countless hours of visiting and taking in the gorgeous views. ‘Location Location’ is a complete understatement. You are only steps away from the heart of town with access to shopping, bars, restaurants, outfitters, markets, galleries and more. The house is also just a few blocks from several of the best hiking trails in town from beginner to advanced. Having enjoyed Telluride in the winter, this home is perfect for a ski vacation, but it is as perfect for an amazing summer vacation. . We will be back! Mark G

Great location and comfortable, spacious rooms

The best thing about 122 Spruce is the location, just a block off Main Street and close to everything. The four bedrooms are large and spacious, and that is a big plus as well. However, we were disappointed in a few other aspects of the home that could use some attention. The fireplace in the main living room does not work, and as we were on a ski vacation, our visions of relaxing by the fire after a day of skiing were dashed. The high backed couches in the same room that blocked the fireplace were odd and out of place. Plus the location of the tv is right in the view of the mountains. We felt that the dining room chairs were odd as well. The entire top floor of the house could use some rethinking as that is the centerpiece of the house. To make it conducive to entertaining a large group, since the house sleeps 8 (and the dining room only sits 4 for example), would be well worth an investment.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review of the home. Spruce Downtown has an excellent location as the name implies. A spacious four bedroom free-standing home located one block off Colorado Avenue is quite a find. We intentionally do not advertise the fireplace in the home, since not operational. To maintain our clean mountain air quality, the Town of Telluride has very restrictive fireplace regulations. In fact, there are only a handful of grandfathered permits to burn wood in town. Given the nonoperational fireplace, the owners have arrange their furniture in such a way so that it not set as a focal point, same with the photos of the living room. While there is only seating for 6 at dinner table, there are two bar stools adjacent to the dining space to acoomodate a total of 8 people. We have passed along your decorative comments to the owners and will take them into consideration for future guests. Again, thank you for the feedback.
