This condo is on the second floor accessed by elevator and exterior covered hallway. As you enter, you enter in to the living room, kitchen and dining area. There is a full kitchen with updated appliances and 3 bar stools at the counter top. The kitchen is open to the dining area which has seating for 6 people. The living room has a flat screen TV w/DVD, stone gas fireplace and a large deck with a grill that overlooks the Mountain Village Pond.

To the right as you enter the front door is the master bedroom which has a king bed, flat screen TV w/DVD and a private bathroom with double sinks and a large jetted tub. To the left as you enter the front door there is another bedroom. The second bedroom also has a king bed with flat screen TV and a private bathroom with a shower/tub combo. T This condo also has a private washer and dryer and underground parking (shares garage with Palmyra; Westermere spaces are to the left, Palmyra-to the right). Additional parking is available at the intercept lot for $25.00 per night.

After a 6 hour drive we arrived in telluride, checked in was fine but getting to the condo was a nightmare. No signs of where the westmire was located, no signs for the elevators or parking. Unless you live there you know where everything is located. needless to say it took 45 minutes to find the condo and the elevator and calling the rental company was not helpful either since there are no signs anywhere to guide you and the only landmark is the Wells Fargo. The parking in the garage was a rough claustrophobic squeeze to get in to with a SUV and you're not allowed to park outside otherwise you get towed, that also was frustrating trying to unload and park in such a tight garage. The condo was clean and seemed fine except there is no walking shower, the guest room has an obscene jacuzzi tub that unless you're a gymnist you can't get in and out if you're a senior, so we all had to use one shower in the master bedroom which also had a tub but it was easier to get in and out. Also there is a weird glass wall in the guest bathroom that when u get up at night and turn on the light it lights up the bedroom as well, not sure the purpose of the plexy glass in the guest room. The guest room bed was very hard/firm and so where the pillows, the masterberoom bed was a dream, very comfortable and pillows as well. The thermostat was also a nightmare since the inside temperature was set to 75° and you couldn't lower the temperature even though the knob was on 50° the inside temperature was stuck, we felt we were in a sauna, It was so hot! The housekeeper did a great job, the condo was very clean, kitchen fully stocked with all you need to cook with. The condo is walking distance to restaurants, shops, and both gondolas the short one to village market and the one to telluride, Tracks has good bar food and great drink prices a must stop in for the chicken soup, desserts or drinks!. Overall we enjoyed our visit to telluride but next time we will choose a different condo that is easier to find, better parking and walk-in showers.

Get Unit for 2 couples but management and maintence issues abound (Have to agree with "Meh"'s Review of 6/23

We have used Telluride Alpine Lodging in the past with great success, however, after this stay we will use a different company going forward. Westermere 211 has a great set up for 2 couples, 2 master suites, each with ensuite bathroom. Perfect set up for us. Liza with reservations was great and I appreciate her patience with us. Upon arrival at the unit , there was a sign on the shower/tub unit stating don't use the tub, shower only. Okay, I can deal with that but then I turned on the shower faucets and the hot water faucet was falling off and got stuck in the on position. We called Guest Services and Ryan was polite and sympathetic and eventually got a maintenance man to the unit to shut off the water. In the mean time, we spent our first evening literally bailing out water so the unit would not flood. We asked to be moved or the faucet fixed. Being Friday and no parts for the shower in town, fixing was not an option. The faucet was not even fixed when we checked out on the 24th. We were told moving was not an option either !! So we offered a solution to Ryan and his supervisor to unlock the third bedroom area so we could use that shower. The supervisor agreed and unlocked the extra bedroom side the afternoon of day 2. We asked for some sort of compensation for our inconvenience as we had missed meeting up with friends while we were bailing water. It took the supervisor a long time to see the wisdom in this but she eventually offered us something. Upon returning home and doing this review, I read "Meh"'s review of 6/23. None of the maintenance issues were addressed by the time we arrived in mid-August. "Blinds broken, light hanging from ceiling, shower handle.."etc. When dealing with the shower incident, the supervisor informed me that they knew the tub leaked but had no idea about the faucet. I can only conclude that TAL does not read it's own reviews. I only wished I had read this review prior to booking or that TAL and the owner would have addressed these issues prior to renting the unit again. The four us renting the unit have worked in sales and customer service all our lives. We found it incomprehensible that items were not fixed prior to our arrival, and that the supervisor saw no urgency as we tried to keep the bathroom from flooding. and offered no solutions. She called me Tuesday to inform me that the faucet had been fixed on Monday; it had not; and never was fixed during our stay. We came up with solution to open the lock-out unit and parade through the condo to take a shower. Again, the layout of the condo is great for 2 couples, but there are maintenance issues and poor communication with TAL.

Please be assured that we do our best to make sure that everything in the condos is working properly before arrivals, but clearly, we missed the shower on your stay. Please accept my apology that it wasn't taken care of in a more timely manner.

I felt compelled to write a few things about our stay as the condo was a pretty big disappointment. Directions to get into the condo were horrible. There were multiple broken items inside the condo - blinds, a light was hanging from the ceiling, shower handle, grill... Customer service was also very lax. Housekeeping - for this condo - parked in our parking spot and the management response was that we should park somewhere else. And all of this over the span of 4 days 3 nights. We're pretty easy going but when you pay 350 or whatever a night I expect a functioning unit. We stayed at a similar place down in town last year for the same price and it was much nicer, and everything worked. Hope this review saves someone else frustration on an otherwise awesome vacation. We will not stay with this rental group again.

We appreciate you honest feedback on Westermere 211. The maintenance issues are unfortunate, as the condo really is so nice. The homeowners are currently in town and are making quite a few upgrades in terms of maintenance repairs and new furniture.
