COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on our lives and thrown our summer plans into disarray. While everyone across the country is starting to adjust to the “new normal,” Telluride has done the same. We love our locals and our guests and have made new policies and put new restrictions into place to ensure that we are able to host our guests for months to come.
While no place is perfect, we think Telluride is the closest thing to it - and it’s a great place to visit right now.
Socially Distant Activities
Telluride is known for its plethora of socially-distant activities. In the summertime, hiking, biking, jeeping and stand-up paddleboarding are great outdoor fun, while in the winter, skiing, snowshoeing or even ice climbing make for great socially-distant activities. If you prefer to have a guide, all guided tours are completely private - perfect for a family or group outing!
Telluride is the perfect place to experience right now - most of our activities are socially distant, and even before it was mandatory! Click here for all of our summer activities.
Our small mountain town community is dedicated to keeping our residents and guests safe. Telluride is working closely with health officials to ensure all shops, restaurants and lodging companies have implemented safety protocols to keep transmission numbers down. Masks are required in all interior spaces, and occupancy caps have been put on stores and restaurants. In addition, there is currently a lodging capacity limit of 50% in Telluride. This number is subject to change. Click here for the most up-to-date information on COVID-19 in Telluride.
At Alpine Lodging Telluride, we’ve always held ourselves to the highest cleaning standards. When COVID-19 came into the mix, we re-evaluated and have continued to adjust our policies as needed. All of our housekeeping staff is COVID-19 certified after passing a county-mandated training course. In addition, all cleaning products have been recommended by the CDC and the EPA and we have taken additional steps to clean high-traffic areas with a hospital-grade disinfectant. Click here for more information on our cleaning standards.
Telluride is also a great place to find a private retreat. With plenty of houses tucked away in the woods or nestled on the mountaintops, it’s the perfect place to hide out and escape the day-to-day. If you don’t want to see anyone while you’re in Telluride, you absolutely don’t have to. Click here for the best private houses in Telluride.
