Manitou Lodge FAQs

How does the parking work?
We supply you with an electronic, street parking pass that allows you to park anywhere in the W parking zone of Telluride. Upon arrival, we will register your vehicle in the electronic system for the permit and provide you with a map displaying the different parking zones. You will only receive one parking permit per reservation. Please note, guests that drive in the winter may have to move their vehicles according to the local snow plowing schedule. Certain roads will not have available parking on plow days. The Manitou Lodge does not have guaranteed parking spaces and parking can be limited during busy times of the year. It is recommended that you take a local shuttle service, rather than rent a car if you are flying into Montrose.

How close is the Lodge to the local establishments and activities?
The Manitou Lodge is situated against the mountain, along the river trail in downtown Telluride. We are a 2-minute walk from the free Gondola and Chair Lift 8, which gives you access to the entire ski mountain. We are also less than 5 minutes away from several different hiking trails in the area. There are well over a dozen restaurants within a 3-minute walk of the Lodge, not to mention several that are less than a minute away. The grocery store and local bakery are 1 block up the road from us and the town park is a 7-minute walk down the river trail. You could not ask for a better location!

What additional amenities does the Lodge provide?
The Manitou Lodge offers 2 meal services a day, during our summer and winter seasons. We have a continental-style buffet breakfast served daily from 7am-9am, as well as an afternoon snack hour from 4pm-5pm. Each room will receive one complimentary parking pass (first-come-first-serve) and one ski storage locker (winter only). We have a common lounge with a variety of board games, a fully equipped common kitchen, a speaker to play music, as well as several streaming services on the television for guests to use. There are a variety of items to borrow while you’re in-house including folding camp chairs, grocery bags, water bottles, a hammock, and bike lock. Please note, we do not provide daily housekeeping. If you are in need of new towels or would like a fresh set of sheets, you may contact the front desk during business hours to collect them.

Can I check-in before 4pm or checkout later than 10am?
In order to request an early check-in, please email your requested time to manitou@alpinelodging.com. Early check-ins cannot be guaranteed in advance; however we note all requests for early check-ins and late checkouts and do our best to accommodate them. We can generally provide some flexibility with advanced notice. If you arrive before your room is ready, we can still register your vehicle for parking, or store luggage for you so that you can get out and about until your room is done. We can also store your luggage or keep your parking permit activated until 12pm if a later checkout is unavailable.

Can I bring my pet to the Manitou Lodge?
The Manitou Lodge is not a pet friendly property. Per our rental agreement, any guest found with an unregistered animal will be asked to leave and charged a $250.00 minimum cleaning fee. Guests traveling with a Service Animal, please contact the hotel directly for details.

Is there a vending machine or ice maker on-site?

There is no vending machine on-site, however cookies, coffee and other snacks can be found in the lounge throughout the day, in addition to our previously mentioned meal services. There is an ice maker located in the lounge for guests to use as needed.
