Our River Club Team

Dorin and his wife moved to Telluride (the prettiest and most relaxing town in the US) from Romania in 2007. Dorin began working at the club in 2009 and since then, has helped his team deliver excellent customer service and amazing experiences for all River Club owners and guests. Dorin enjoys all mountain activities, as well as traveling and exploring the world.

Mitzi began working with the club in 2006 in sales and later transitioned to operations in 2008. Mitzi and her family moved to Telluride in 1997 from Texas. Raised in Oklahoma, the mountains brought an exciting change with unlimited adventures.

Heather spent most of her childhood living the “military brat” lifestyle; growing up in several U.S states, including Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Alaska, Arizona, and Colorado. In 2002, Heather’s mother retired from the military and moved the family to Telluride, Colorado, where Heather attended high school. It was then that she discovered her passion for mountains, music, photography, and all things outdoors! In her spare time, Heather enjoys playing disc golf & tennis, snowboarding, traveling, hiking, biking, and dining at Telluride’s many wonderful restaurants. After all these years, Heather’s love for Telluride has never wavered, and she still wakes up every day in awe that she gets to call this magnificent place home. It’s always a beautiful day in Telluride!

Anton was born in Latvia and immigrated to the U.S. in 1998. In 2008, he became a U.S. citizen, which he describes as one of the best experiences of his life. During his free time, he likes to write movie scripts, paint abstract art, write music, and spend time in the great outdoors. He also plans to audition for Telluride Theater in the near future and would like to get into part-time stage acting. He had always dreamed of visiting Colorado, and after living in Colorado for almost a year and visiting many places in the state, he considers Telluride to be one of the most amazing towns that he has ever been to. He feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to work in Telluride, and especially enjoys working at the River Club, where everyone has been so warm and welcoming.

Ben grew up in Colorado Springs, CO and has always loved the outdoors. He moved to Telluride in the fall of 2007 and has been a full-time resident ever since. He enjoys skiing, mountain biking, fishing, and hiking in the San Juan mountains as well as exploring the desert Southwest.

Tommy was raised in Central Illinois but has lived in Telluride since 1997. He is an avid hiker and snowboarder. Tommy is also a lighting designer for stage and theater production, including Telluride Young People's Theater and the annual Shakespeare in the park.

Michael Smith is originally from Maryland. He took some time to pursue his dreams in California. After 23 years of rubbing elbows with Hollywood’s finest as a 20-year SAG actor, chauffeur, and personal assistant to some well-known celebs (like Johnny Depp, Patrick Dempsey, and Lisa Rinna) he’s found himself in Telluride seeking the peace and solitude of being in a small town surrounded by nature. He looks forward to utilizing his hospitality skills to make your visits feel like the home.
