Top Chef-Run Intimate Restaurant
Situated in a historic home just steps from the base of the Gondola, 221 South Oak provides an intimate dining experience with comfortable seating and subdued lighting. Foodies can choose from a range of starters and mains with well-chosen ingredients and interesting flavor combinations. Some favorite appetizers include house-made sausages, buttermilk fried quail and grilled Spanish octopus. From there, diners can choose dishes ranging from an Iberico pork chop to rocky mountain elk and molasses-braised bison short rib.
Chef/Owner Eliza Gavin trained both at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. She worked in several kitchens across the country before settling in Telluride. Her influences stem from her world travels throughout the Caribbean, Europe and Australia. She has published two cookbooks and competed on the 10th season of Top Chef.
