Mountainside Inn
My room was okay. However because of the construction - which I was never informed of, it took me an hour to find the hotel and the check in. As a result, I missed a very important appointment. Furthermore, after checking in I was told that I had to park my $200.000 car in a muddy and rock rutted parking lot. The car was filthy and I damaged the front splitter on my car that I was showing at the Autumn Festival the following day - an no local car wash to clean the car. It was a total disaster and I will never book a room with Mountainside Inn ever again...

We do our best to communicate the limited availability of paved parking in the area, and any in-town construction projects, however we understand these notices can get missed sometimes. Very disappointed on the interior of the unit. Carpet was stained and looked unclean. Especially the price for it. Check in was very slow.

Walk-in bookings, such as yours, generally take a few extra minutes to handle as we must build and charge the new reservation to gain access to your arrival paperwork. This was the the 7th time we have stayed at the Mountainside Inn and we will be back for an eighth time. The staff is helpful and courteous and the facility is always clean.

Affordable rooms in heart of telluride
We had the queen room with an extra twin bed. The room had a very efficient kitchenette and three adults had sufficient space. So convenient to Clark’s, gondola and Walking path. Would stay again.

I have been staying at Mountainside Inn many years now . I stayed in room 115 and the building was pretty quiet considering it was the 4 th of July. Location is great but the room did not feel clean and there was more than a hand full of trash left under the bed from previous guest. I would normally have picked it up, but I did not. I am 64 and work in durango as a Massage therapist, so $565.00 dollars for 2 nights was a big treat to me, from me. I pick up after people everyday all day and thought, NO, this is my time off, so I did not clean up the mess left behind.

The lodging itself was great and I was happy with the stay overall. However, we checked in after hours and it was slightly confusing at first but once I called the after hours number I saw by the door, they were very friendly and helpful and I was able to get my key. It being dark and late, I didn't realize the inn was directly across the way from the lockbox, it would be helpful to mention that moving forward. We drove to a different room 115, which was another property. When I called the after hours number again I asked them if I was in the right place and described the door as being outside (not in the building) and right across from the Thai restaurant, which they confirmed it was. This is inaccurate. The lock didn't work. They then called I believe the owner of the room to assist me. I didn't hear anything so I explored around the property until I found the correct door where the owner was. Upon greeting me she asked, jokingly, if I was "dumb or stupid" which I did not appreciate. It was extremely unkind, joke or not, and not the way a guest should be treated. Not only were the instructions were unclear, but the after hours line informed me I was in the right place when I wasn't and the owner who came to help was very rude. Not the service I expected. Everything else was fine but this incident is why I'm rating it 3 stars overall. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.

Thank you for your review. First let us apologize for the confusion you experienced checking in. We will audit our arrival instructions to avoid a similar situation. After reviewing the call log from that night, we may need to revisit some training with our third-party overnight support teams, and in addition, we have spoken with them directly regarding the poor taste of their joke. They assured us it was meant in good spirits however, we can see how this would be unkind and we apologize you were treated that way. This is not reflective of how Mountainside Inn and Alpine Lodging feel about our guests and would love another opportunity to host you. Thank you for staying with us.

Good value & location - Internet not so much
Stayed for skiing (return lodger) .......Walk to free gondola and main Telluride drag. Internet not working during stay (Bldg 300 mostly off, but on once in awhile) Once we parked the car, we never moved it! Be sure to eat at Smugglers Union - excellent all around.

We really enjoyed our stay at your property. It was extremely clean, comfortable, nice amenities, and was within easy walking distance to the lifts and downtown Telluride. Once we parked our car we never had to use it during our stay. We highly recommend this property and will hopefully have the chance to use it again.

Telluride Blues & Brews Festival
Came to the festival & chose Mountainside Inn from the Chamber website. Had a wonderful time and the employees were more than helpful. Would stay again
